Ask a friend, colleague, or family member who you think would be open to supporting you in a fun growth exercise if they’d be willing to participate as your partner. If they say yes, proceed by following the instructions below.
If we’re not in the habit of owning our significance we can minimize our own truth and perceptions as though they’re of no consequence.
Your task to break the rule Pretend You Don’t Matter is to share with your partner something that you are really good at, but shy away from admitting or showing to others.
Ask your partner what it felt like to hear you talk about your hidden strength.
Now share with them again, starting a sentence with the words, “One thing I am ignoring is. . ." and mention the first thing that comes to mind.
