And then for 2 years he was offered nothing, and thought his career might be over. The oscar winning role he landed was after that when his commitment to his vision for his own career finally saw him over the hump and producers and directors finally sought him out, getting the message he really wasn't going back to the old ways. In any case, there are ton of good stories like that in the book. Let me know if you get through it.

That’s fascinating, I remember when he was such a big rom com star, I was really surprised when he started doing serious roles. I feel like there’s a lesson there for us. I will come back to you after I read the book, I find celebrity and artists perspectives interesting because in some ways, they’re doing the same thing as us, just on a different platform.
