Today’s practice is to ask one real question. The criteria for a real question is as follows: 1.) I don’t already know the answer. 2.) I will not punish the answer giver if I don’t get the answer I want. 3.) I’m willing to change my thinking or behavior based on the answer. We ask questions all the time of course. Often we’re just trying to prove what we already think we know, challenge another person’s authority, convictions, intelligence, or point of view, or window shop for answers without any intention of making a purchase. If you can come up with one real question today you’ll be doing very well. If you can’t, consider a question fast until one shows up. Real questions are how we align with the truth. Disingenuous ones are how we remain Independent of reality.
